On October 28, 2017, I ran the Stone Arch Bridge 10 miler sponsored by my club, the Scores Running Club
For about 6 miles I stuck pretty close behind 5th place Jake Atherton, at which point I attempted to pick up the pace to see if I can go a bit quicker. I couldn’t lol. I eventually dropped pace slightly and Jake ran away from me.
Mile 8.8 is a tough uphill especially at that point of the race, and from that point until the end I was struggling and losing my lead on seventh place for a bit. I was able to hang on to sixth but only by 11 seconds. Finished in 01:05:15 so about 6:32 miles. I was ok with that.
